Our laboratory focuses on developing new strategies
using biomaterials and stem cells for tissue repair and regeneration. More specifically, we are interested in:
(a) developing molecularly-engineered polymeric structures to control the fate and commitment of stem cells towards the
desired tissue
(b) dissecting the cell-environment (insoluble and soluble components) interactions to understand stem cell biology,
disease progression, and developmental processes
(c) translate these fundamental understandings towards clinical applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
