Eric Roller is currently a PhD student in the Bioengineering Department at the University of California, San Diego. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS).  While in the EECS Department he participated in the Honors Degree Program with an emphasis in Chemistry.  He also received a minor in Bioengineering.  Eric's current research involves automated microscopy and fluidics.  This type of system integration is applied to DNA sequencing technologies.  He is also investigating high-speed TIRF for single molecule sequencing.  Eric is also interested in sequencing chemistry and sequence assembly.
