Genomics and Systems Biotechnology Laboratory

Erin McElfish received a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from Walla Walla University in 2006.  She is now continuing her education at University of California, San Diego where she is working to obtain a Master of Science degree in Bioengineering.   Erin is currently conducting research with Anusha Mehta in Prefessor Xiaohua Huang's Genomics and Systems Biotechnology Laboratory.  Erin and Anusha are developing new methods for amplification of DNA using polymer and surface chemistry as well as uniform microemulsions. These methods will allow isolated amplification of many different sequences in parallel.
