Starting with thirty members, the WIBE now has over one hundred faculty and research scientists from the Schools of Engineering, Medicine, Natural Science, Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO), and members of neighboring institutions, including the Burnham Institute, the Salk Institute for Biological Sciences, and the Scripps Research Institute.
